Version 3.26.0: Faster music processing
Version 3.26.0 is out:
- Music processing now utilizes all CPU cores, significantly speeding up performance (e.g., ~4× faster on a 4-core CPU).
- Automatically retrieves track title and artist from the filename if MP3 tags are missing.
- Added an option to trim silence at the beginning and end of tracks.
- Added the ability to disable crossfade for tracks and jingles.
- Admin area now includes an option to disable Live DJ recordings, helping save disk space.
- Updated volume normalization target to -14 LUFS (previously -18 LUFS), resulting in a slightly louder stream.
- Added separate volume adjustment options for tracks and jingles.
- Webcaster for unbranded licenses no longer links to our portal.
- Added a setting for Auto-DJ to either resume from where it left off or start a new track after switching from a live stream.
Version 3.25.2: Bugfix release
Version 3.25.2 is out:
- Fixed issues with random rotations playback.
- Improved stability of the StereoTool integration.
- Improved performance of IP and Geo-IP blocks.
- Improved connection stability of relays.
- Fixed multiple bugs related to IP-based blocks.
- Resolved several issues in backup and restore scripts.
- Fixed a bug where random rotations could switch to the default playlist unexpectedly.
- Fixed an issue preventing broadcaster interface translations from loading in some browsers.
- Added support for a post-installation hook: /opt/bin/sc_post_update_hook - add custom Bash commands to run after control panel updates.
- Downgraded Icecast-KH to version 2.4.0-kh20 to resolve compatibility issues and broken proxy streams on iOS.
This is the latest round of bugfixes, new features will be released in the next release!
Version 3.25.1: Bugfix release
Version 3.25.1 is out:
- Fixed a memory leak in the FLAC streams
- Update of internal libraries (support for Django up to 4.x and Python up to 3.12)
- Improvements in Ubuntu 24 support
- Rotation with an empty playlist no longer cause the stream to crash or switch to the default playlist.
- Fixed sending of system emails (track request notificiations, user notification emails).
Version 3.25.0: New random playback algorithm
Version 3.25.0 is out:
- Random playback for the playlists is completley rewritten, now there are 2 random playback modes available in “settings”. One is using a “balanced” mode that is choosing a random track trying to escape same artists as uch as possible, another one is using a random permitation of tracks in a playlist.
- Icecast2 protocol now supported for live streaming (Shoutcast version 1 protocol was only available before).
- Fixed noise that occurs in some crossfade modes.
- Fixed a bunch of bugs reported by our users.
Version 3.24.3: Audio-editor update
Our Internet Radio control panel 3.24.2 has been released:
- Audio Editor (where you generate your track waveform and define mix in and out points) has been rewritten completely fixing many bugs.
- “Delete radio” button was moved out from the top bar into the “Settings” section not to confuse users, which ofter remove radio by mistake using the button at the top.
- Jingles and Jingle bloks now have on/off checkbox directly in the list allowing users to toggle many jingles at once.
Version 3.24.2: Added support for Ubuntu 24.04 LTS
Our Internet Radio control panel 3.24.2 has been released: Ubuntu 24.04 LTS support has been added, Centos 7 support has been discontinued, links to our website and customizable HTML on radio and podcast site pages have been removed for unbranded versions.
Version 3.24.1: URL branding support added
Our Internet Radio control panel 3.24.1 has been released: radio users can now connect their own domain names directly from the control panel, Icecast-kh server has been updated to the latest version icecast-2.4.0-kh21, errors have been fixed in Telegram streaming.
Version 3.24.0: Stereo Tool is now supported!
Our Internet Radio control panel 3.24.0 has been released: we have added support for the Stereo Tool audio processor. This audio processor allows you to noticeably improve the sound of the radio, has a lot of settings (both paid and free), details can be found on the official website. And we now support the Ubuntu 22.04 operating system.
Version 3.23.8: Fixed audio issues when mixing audio
Our Internet Radio control panel 3.23.8 has been released: Fixed a scratching that occurred on some files with a sampling rate other than 44100 (improved resampling). Fixed several bugs with FLAC files. When changing the settings for the output of jingles and song orders for an event in the broadcast grid, these changes are loaded automatically and immediately for events that have already begun. The mixing algorithm has been improved, now there will be no clipping when mixing jingles over the air and with a smooth transition between tracks. Fixed memory leaks.
Version 3.23.7: Improved volume normalization
Our Internet Radio control panel 3.23.8 has been released: Completely rewritten volume normalization in tracks, now there will be no crackling in those tracks where clipping sometimes happened + smoother alignment. New options in the mini-site + fix for all bugs that were reported to our technical support. Lots of minor edits and improvements.
Version 3.23.6: Text voiceover and a new radio website!
Our Internet Radio control panel 3.23.8 has been released: The text voiceover module has been added - now you can enter text in the radio admin panel and voice it using Artificial Intelligence and get a ready-made mp3 file that can be used as a jingle or track in playlists. In track editing mode, the ability to reset the number of likes, dislikes and the number of track orders by listeners has been added. Recordings of DJs’ broadcasts can now be copied to playlists and podcasts. A new updated radio mini-site with a lot of settings, the ability to view it directly from the panel or download and install it on any hosting.
Version 3.23.5: We added Podcasts
Our Internet Radio control panel 3.23.5 has been released: A new Podcasts section with a convenient player and RSS feed for podcast receivers. The search for duplicates by file name and track name has been added to the media library. Additional features for people with visual impairments (audio indication, screen reader support improved). Estonian translation added.
Version 3.23.4: New features
Our Internet Radio control panel 3.23.4 has been released: If track volume normalization is disabled, the volume of streams will not be lowered. A report on the total listening time (the number of listeners multiplied by the duration of the broadcast) has been added to the reports The top of the best and worst tracks can now be uploaded to Excel. Settings have been added to the player designer to make the background of each of its blocks transparent. In the audio editor, entry and exit points can now be set by entering the start and end times in special fields (this option has been added for blind users). Azerbaijanian translation added.
Version 3.23.3: Better translations
Internet Radio control panel 3.23.3 is out: Added and improved translations into French, Ukrainian, Turkish, German, Polish, Latvian and Lithuanian. A small number of fixes in various modules, including in the broadcast grid When broadcasting from the RadioBOSS program (and others), the number of current listeners will now be reflected directly in the broadcast program. The base volume level of the Auto DJ was slightly lowered (by 9%) so that when equalizing the sound, overlapping tracks there would be no sound artifacts and noises.
Version 3.23.2: Dj stream recording
Internet Radio control panel 3.23.3 is out: Added the ability to play a playlist inside the block in order, that is, a block of jingles was started, a track from a given playlist was played in order, the next time the block was started, the next track from the playlist, and so on. Added the option to change the volume of the stream for DJs (and for those who connect remotely and for an auto DJ). DJs now have an option to record the broadcast. All records are saved on the server, they can be downloaded or deleted. Several fixes to the broadcast grid and acceleration of its operation.
